Brinn grows up

Brinn just celebrated her 4th birthday the other day. For her birthday she wanted to get her ears pierced... so I said sure. I was totally shocked that she actually went through with it. But she did AWESOME! She was totally fine until they brought out the guns... then she got a little nervous. I held her hands and they did the count down.

Let the soccer season begin

This week at our house...

This Little Guy (who is not so little anymore) started 1st Grade...



This Little Miss finally let me talk her into sleeping with curlers in her hair...

And after it had calmed down for a couple hours TOTALLY CUTE!

And the Littlest Mr. at our house took a tumble, which totally does not surprise me. He hit his eyebrow bone on the edge of a little table. Poor little Mr. :( (This was yesterday.)

... The Biorn's! We sure do! We went to Oklahoma to visit them last week and can I just say that for me, that was the first real vacation in a LONG TIME. (Real Vacation= Never having to wonder what my children were getting into, if anyone was watching them, and for that matter not hardly ever seeing my kids!) The Biorn's used to live by us and with 1 boy(who is so good with kids) and 4 girls(8 and older, also great with kids)... my kids were seriously watched/entertained by them the entire time. Thanks so much Mandy for your friendship and for everything (Worthy of a shout-out would be surviving the "tornado" and "seeing" Garth Brooks and his "house.")!!! We had a blast! And thanks Dallin, Bre, Madison, Maren, and Ella! We miss you guys already!

When Morisa Came to Town...

Our niece Morisa came to town at the end of July and stayed with us for 2 weeks! Woo-hoo! How lucky were we to get her all to ourselves for so long!!! We had so much fun and I think(hope) she did too. We miss you Morisa! Come back ANY TIME(SOON)!!!

Aidan turned 6!!!

Aidan turned 6... actually a few weeks ago. We celebrated the day by going to Schlitterbahn water park with some of David's family(fun) that happened to be in town that day plus some of my family(Nic and Lauren, you guys are fun too.) (Hence the reason there are so few pictures.) Afterwards, we headed back to our house for some Texas style barbecue, cake and ice cream, and of course presents.

Owen and his prized possessions

I just love these pictures of Owen. His nursery teachers at church described him as "a ball of sunshine" and that is honestly the perfect description of him. (Mixed with a lot of Mr. Troublemaker and Mr. Daredevil.)



And I love this picture because later on when I think back to when Owen was a baby I am sure I will picture him just like this... with a smile behind the binki and monkey in his hands.
