Aidanisms

- Ever since Father's Day Aidan continues to ask me if it's "Aidan Day!" When I tell him that it's not, he starts crying and saying, "It is Aidan Day." Luckily his birthday is not too far around the corner.
- Yesterday I was calling Aidan a raggin-muffin because his hair is so long, maybe even the longest it has ever been. When I called him a ragging-muffin he informed me, "I not a raggin-muffin, I'm Aidan." I kept calling him the same thing and he kept telling me the same thing. It gave me a good laugh.
- Through the mouth of Aidan: Swimsoup= Swimsuit, wuv= love, skool= stool, sparkle= freckle, his friend Logan= Gogan
- Today in the car Aidan told me he had to go potty, and I told him to hold it: he then proceeded to hold it... literally!
- Aidan loves other kids! He calls them "my friends" or "my kids" and he believes that the soul purpose of every other person on this earth is to be his friend.

So long, so blonde!

In most of the pics of Brinn that I put on here she has a nice big bow on so it is hard to see her hair. Her hair is really starting to grow, and it has also gotten really light. When she was born her hair was a dark brown but now it is anything from light brown, to red, to blonde depending on the light. Come to think of it, her eyes also change colors depending on the light from green to hazel. I think we will just start calling her our little camilion.

Fun Fabrics!!!

I bought these fun fabrics the other day at the store, and I don't have a clue what I am going to do with them. Actually, I have one idea in mind so stay tuned... but if you have any fun fairly simple project ideas let me know!

A visit from a friend...

My friend JJ came for a couple of days to visit us in San Antonio. It was so fun to see her, we had a blast! We went to high school together but over the last couple years her husband and her have been teaching abroad so we have had to take advantage of the summers when they are home. David, Aidan, and I were able to go visit them in Egypt a couple years ago and we hope to be able to go visit them this upcoming year in the Philippines... (this time without the kids :) It is so nice to have friends who you can only see once a year, or even less, but when your together you can pick right up where you left off and it's never awkward.

9 Months Old

Brinn is now 9 months old... where did the time go? Here are a few pics of her from the other day.
We started on the grass... which apparently she does not like!

So to the porch we went... much better!

Father's Day Karaoke!

This year for Father's Day we were lucky enough to have David's parents in town, as well as my brother Austin and my parents over for dinner. We had a great time! After dinner we busted out the karaoke... and managed to get everyone to participate! The following clips for the next few post are mostly for the enjoyment of family that will undoubtedly cause them a little chuckle.

Aidan's Room

I finally got Aidan's planes done for his room, mostly because I was tired of of the mess sitting out on my counter. I love how they turned out! I am even considering selling some on ebay. Anyone that has ever looked for airplane decos for a kids room would know how hard they are to find... at least one's that are cute!

Messy Hair

Brinn's hair is finally getting long enough that when she wakes up from her naps she has messy hair. I love it and can't wait till it's even longer!

A New Baby!

So you are probably thinking by the title that we are expecting... breath, were not!

Introducing Baby Aidan!!!!

I know they say regression is normal after a new sibling comes along but you would think that this would have happened a while ago. Aidan will go Brinn's stash of extra binkins and start sucking on it and when I take it away he wines and cries. Then he will point and grunt at the binkie and won't use his words. Pathetic! He only took a binkie till he was a few months old, so it's not like he's missing one of his favorite pastime's. So the stash of binkies is now gone and I am hoping we took care of the problem before it gets any worse.

My House

I have had some requests for pics of my house so here they are...

This is the view from the front door looking into the living room and dining room.(nice furniture huh... it actually works great for a place for Aidan to just run and play) Up ahead to the left in a short hallway which leads to the family room and kitchen.

We have a nice little view which is fun, a sloping backyard which is not so fun!

French doors are office/scrapbook room, down the hall to left is master, and down hall to right are kids bedrooms and door to garage.

Grinning Brinn

People always ask me if Brinn is this smiley all the time and the answer is yes! As long as I am holding her or sitting right next to her and no strangers are looking at her. She is quite the mamma's girl, which can make it virtually impossible to get anything done. But she's so stinkin cute and also has an adorable personality, so I guess she's a keeper.

Why I Can't Keep My House Clean

Lately I have been staying busy working on crafts projects. I don't know when it happened but I have become a craft junkie!

Bows for Brinn

With David being a pilot... Aidan must have flying in his blood (or it could be all those clothes, book, and toys we have given him since birth:)) I am painting these planes and helicopters and am going to put them up as a boarder around Aidan's room. I'll post pics of that when I get them finished.


Despite the fact that I have not posted any scrap pages lately... I actually have gotten a few done but have not done the journaling so I am holding out till they are all the way done. This is my scrap room which looks like a tornado hit it.
