AIDAN AND TONY HAWK...

We got passes to Six Flags this year for Christmas and Aidan went the other day with my family. He is now tall enough to ride some of the big rides and my brother recorded his first ride on Tony Hawk. It's pretty funny!

What a blogging slacker I have been lately! Time to get going...

Three little cousins: Brinn, Tayvin, and Jayah. It's funny because Tayvin is 6 months younger than Brinn and tall, Jayah is 6 months older than Brinn and short, and Brinn is right in the middle and average which makes them all about the same height.

Thanksgiving Dinner...

Proof that I was actually there too. David and I celebrated our 7 year anniversary while there and got to enjoy a night out with just the two of us!

Thanks Tami for letting us stay with you. It was so fun to catch up with everyone and let the kids spend time with their cousins. I have more pictures taken with Grandma and Grandpa but my computer is not cooperating. Oh well... it's a good start!

Not Sure...

I was not sure what to title this post... Let's see... I thought about

Christmas Came Early for the Larson's or
I might be crazy!!! or
David said "Are you sure?"... I said "No, but let's do it anyways."

I think all would be fitting for this day! I have tonz of pics from our trip but I am going to show you what we did today first.

We set up our Christmas Tree... Tipped over on Aidan... Luckily before the decos were on... Christmas Tree Done!


David's mom was in town and we each opened a gift from her and David's Dad before she went home. We actually opened them with his Dad watching from Ukraine on Skype. That was fun!


Thanks Lynda for such a fun time, all the gifts, but mostly for being a great grandma and mom.


We traded in this paper dog of Aidan's for...


this guy... It is an early gift for the kids for Christmas. Aidan named him Pretzel. We decided after all the months of Aidan praying for a dog the time had come for his prayers to be answered. He is a 12 week puppy that weights 22lbs so he is going to be a big guy! He is the sweetest thing, clam, gentle, good with the kids...

We are so excited to welcome him into our family and yet when I think about the other little guy joining our family in a few months I do think I might be crazy. I think if we can get him potty trained it will help a lot!

... 12 pounds of candy later. While walking down the last street Aidan said "I am almost out of steps." So were we!

And for the first time but definantly not the last we heard the line "I don't want Brinny's pile (of candy) with mine." Remember how you used to come home and sort your candy into piles and then even make trades. Oh the good old days!

Isn't this just how it goes...

Read here. It gave me the laugh I needed to get through the day, and it's not even half over yet!

Batter Up!!!

While Jackson was still in town the two boys went outside and ended up "playing" baseball

Did I mention they used Aidan's head as the ball? (Click on pic for a better view although this picture truly does not do it justice!)

It was an accident, but if you know Jackson you know that the kid can swing. Had it been the other way around, Aidan hitting Jackson, I am sure the damage would have been relatively mild. :) Luckily, a trip to the hospital was not required and a few minutes later... best buds again!

When Mandi is in town...

... we go to the bounce house and after 3 hours Brinn finally goes down the slide and loves it.

... Aidan thinks he is batman... think again Aidan. (Tune in tomorrow for another exciting story.)

... And this one is for Mandi because I told her I would not put it on the blog:) But in all honesty she wanted me to take this picture... and doesn't it look fun(or terrifying!)

Binky Update...

So far so good. We have made it through the weekend. YEAH!


Brinn has always been a GREAT napper/sleeper. I tell her it's time for bed and she gives everyone kisses, walks to her room with me behind her, and goes right to sleep. No crying, no nothing... as long as she had that binky.

The first few nights and naps she cried for 20-30 mins. before finally settling down and drifting off. It has gotten to be less and less crying each time, and eventually she does go to sleep (all except Sunday when I found her in her crib after 45 min of calling my name NAKED.)

Tonight will be the real test when she goes to sleep at Grandma's house while I am at work... I should say the real test for Grandma. Grandma had better not give in and send someone off to the store for a late-night binky run! Consider this your warning mom :)

Soccer...

Aidan is playing soccer this year for the first time and loves it! We have really seen some improvment in his dribbling (look at me becoming all soccer-momish using correct soccer terms and everything) and has managed to score a goal at all of his games so far. Go Aidan!

This is how Aidan always stands... hands towards the back of the hips. Most the time when he is in this position out on the field it is being accompanied by a growling sound and a glare... be nice Aidan!

A Sad Day...

Today is a sad day for our little Brinny-boo, although she doesn't know it yet. She has officially had her last night with her binky/binky's... and SHE WILL MISS THEM! (I just hope that we(me and David) don't miss them so much that we give in.) R.I.P Binky's.

Tam-n-fam Visit

David's sister Tami came to visit with her two cute kids. We had a great time spending time with them, even though time went by way too fast...

Corpus Christi

We did this trip to Corpus Christi a few months ago and so I am way behind on this one. But for journaling purposes...
