"Mommy WOW, I'm a BIG KID now!"

Both my kids moved up to bigger car seats this past weekend... and as you can tell they both couldn't be happier!

Our Little Pumpkins!

Going to the pumpkin patch in 85 degree weather just doesn't seem right.... so I put Brinn in a fall outfit anyway. Poor girl! Not to mention that they don't actually grow pumpkins at the pumpkins patch, instead they are imported from New Mexico. I guess we were spoiled in Washington. Despite it all, I think Aidan and Brinn still had a fun time and after all, that is what it's all about!

Aidan and Dad going through the hay maze. The perfect size for the little man!

Our Little Pumpkins!

Aidan and Dad made this scarecrow.

This is Brinn's "I'm smiling but I am not quite sure about this big orange thing you are making me hang on to" face!

The petting zoo as advertised turned out to be 4 baby chicks, not quite what I was expecting! But they were cute!

He doesn't like to admit it but she has him wrapped around her finger!

The hay ride through the apple orchard.

So fun to have grandma come along!

So now I pass this tag along to Robyn, Tami, Mandi, Julie, and Alisha.
Rules: Go to your 4th photo file, go the 4th picture and post it! Then pass the tag along!

I LOVE...

I love how a new blog background makes me feel so good... it's like getting a new haircut! So a shout out to Leelou Blogs for all their cute backgrounds!

Could it be?

Isn't it crazy how genes work? David's mom emailed me this picture of his family when he was little and when I looked at this picture of him I saw little Brinn!

This picture does not do it justice but she makes that same face especially in the mouth area!

Is that you Scooby-Doo?

Aidan has potty issues! He absolutely refuses to go poo-poo on the potty so I bribed him (yes that's right, bribed him) that if he went poo-poo on the potty he could call Scooby-Doo. He really likes Scooby-Doo and I was so desperate that I was willing to try anything. The other day he did it (YEAH) and so we celebrated with a phone call to Scooby-Doo... I have connections aka. David. Aidan was so excited and was beaming the entire time he was on the phone. Scooby told him that he was chasing ghosts and he thought that was great. Unfortunately, we have not had any poo-poo in the potty since then (which I am sure you are all dying to know) but we are still working on it. I just hope we are still not working on it when he is in third grade... but at the rate we are going that very well could be the case :)

KISS!!!

Smile!

The other day we were outside sitting on a blanket (because Brinn hates the grass... babies are funny that way.) It was a perfect afternoon with a slight breeze (we can finally go outside at 5:00 and not bake... yeah!) Brinn LOVES being outside and was so happy I couldn't resist taking a few photos. Here are some of my favorites!

I lover her little profile!

And finally a little shot with me and my kiddos... I AM IN LOVE!

AAAHHHHHH!!!!

I HATE it when I wake up at 3:30am and can't get back to sleep! It's now 5:20 and I have given up all hope of going back to sleep and allowed myself to get up. I think I am going to go clean my room! But please don't call me today between 1-3 because I plan on sneaking a nap with the kiddos. :)

Simple Joy!

I love it when something so basic makes me so happy!!! This filing cabinet was long overdue.

What makes me even more happy: $30 on Craigslist.

All in a days work...

Sometimes I babysit my friends kids while she is in school. Yesterday I was watching her little boy. Aidan and Austin played...

Dog, of course!

Hide and Seek
Counting (or something like it)...

Hiding (or something like it)...

Found...

To finish off the day Aidan played with play dough. Why is he pushing the play dough with his head you might ask?

Me: "Aidan, why are you smashing the play dough with your head?"
Aidan: "Because my hands aren't hard."
Good to know the little man has problem solving skills!

Kids in a basket!

Question: What could be more fun than being pushed around in a basket by your brother?

Answer: How about when he climbs in with you!

Baby Steps...

Brinn started to take several steps at a time in the last week or so. Today she really mastered it with the help of a cookie at each end bribing her. Won't be long before she is all over the place.

These Kids Just Keep On Growing...

Here are some random cute pics of what my kiddos have been up to.

Aidan sporting the comb-over. In honor of conference I thought Aidan should look his best ;)

Aidan went to his friends b-day party at this cute art shop. Aidan LOVED it!

We have a ferret named Daisy and Aidan just loves her! The other day he put her in this Halloween basket and thought that it was the funniest thing.

The other day I was taking this picture and I said, "Aidan, show me your good smile." And I took this picture.

Then he said, "Do you want to see my bad smile?" And I took this picture.

Aidan found his summer swim toys at my moms house and came around the corner sporting this....

Big girl Brinn has discovered how to open the cupboards in the kitchen, much to my dismay. Needless to say, locks will be going on soon!

Brinn showing us that she is a "BIG GIRL."

Brinn seemed so proud that she could maneuver 3 crackers at once. That's my girl!

New Post...

Just wanted to let everyone know that I finally posted some new pages on Scrap On Scrappers. Check them out! I may not post often but I post as often as I finish pages... which does not say much!

Family Home Evening...

This past week we actually had Family Home Evening and it was so fun! It makes me wonder why it has taken me so long to get my act together and plan a little lesson and a fun activity. Aidan loved the lesson and we actually have referred to it several times this week as the topic was "Love at home" ie. sharing, listening to mom and dad. After the lesson we made cookies "with a pinch of love" (inside joke.)
Aidan is such a helper!

Dad even let Brinn dig in to the dough! It was her lucky day!

A fun night!

Just For Fun...
