A few things...

Idol was great! No spoilers here but the whole show in itself was so entertaining! And the ending... :)

The Bachelorette just started... you all know I am a fan but will spare you the play-by-plays this season. I am just going to put this out there that I like the pilot (surprise, surprise... but really he seems like a genuinely nice guy) and shoot there is one more guy I can't remember... I will figure it out and let you know.

My first day of my no-sugar diet went well... had a few temptations and a close call. I made a little chocolate milk for myself at work not even thinking about it and was about 1 inch away from sticking the straw in my mouth when I remembered. I tried to give it away to someone but no one wanted it so alas... I had to toss it (that was hard.) 1 day down... a lot more to go!

And as I type this Brinn has stripped her diaper and is running around naked... DANGEROUS! Better go! Bye! :)

So Peps...

Today I am starting a one month no sugar personal journey... or as I like to refer to it as one month no sugar personal h--- :) You catch my drift. I just want to prove to myself that I can do it and of course natural sugars are allowed such as fruits. My future sis-in-law Lauren is going to do it with me... anyone want to join in? So for those of you that live by me, you might want to stay clear as I go through my sugar withdrawals. Just don't say I didn't warn you! :)

Aidan's favorite new thing to do when he's playing is... well, see for yourself!




Yes, his favorite thing to play right now is "cook the animals." Whenever he starts to play this I remind him that it hurts the animals, to which he reminds me, "Mom, it's just pretend."

You probably thought that I forgot to enter in my Day 5 Favorite Thing but I didn't... I really just could not narrow it down to one. However, after a long thoughtful weekend I settled on





... hence the change of music to my blog! I am so excited to go see this musical next month that all I eat, sleep, breath is WICKED!

So I have been racking my brain to think of something super awesome and totally outside the box for my final favorite thing and what I came up with was this...






This is what it is like at our house whenever David and I try to eat something... I feel like a zoo keeper feeding the animals!

My Favorite Things... Day 4

Okay, another guessing game... So you are probably thinking from the picture that one of my favorite things is Christmas... and it is! However, that's not on my list today (it is May you know.) One of my favorite things is (drum roll please)...

Hand-me-downs! My friend Mandy brought all these things (plus a ton more not in the picture) over for my kids the other day. And don't forget the super awesome jogging stroller that I might use just out of guilt from taking it (whatever works right?) It does feel like Christmas here and my kids are still fighting over the toys like it's Christmas, except Mandy has twins so we got a lot of doubles (Yeah!) Thanks Mandy! Hand-me-downs are great and I will take any ones hand-me-downs any time (wink wink) :)!

My Favorite Things... Day 3

Day 3...

If you have never tried Skype... it's awesome! David's dad moved to Ukraine a few months ago for work so David's entire family got signed up on Skype (which is free by the way) and got web cameras ($40... cheap) so we could talk with him. Now we all talk to each other and can see each other. My kids are starting to put names and faces together of their cousins, aunts, and uncles that they don't get to see very often. Aidan asks every day if he can call Grandma or Grandpa.

I have also talked to my friend that lives in Russia right now and am hoping to talk to my friend that is living in the Philippines soon ;)! It's amazing that you can video call someone across the world for FREE!

As an added bonus to us, we actually got two cameras and David takes one with him when he goes out of town. Fun for me, but so cool for my kids who can talk and see him even while he is gone (which is often.) They tell him about their day, blow kisses back and forth... again, AWESOME!

My Favorite Things... Day 2

Can you tell by the picture what my favorite thing is?

If you guessed those big giant boxes they pack your stuff in at Costco, then your right. Actually any large box will do because my kids, mainly Aidan, finds hours of pure entertainment from them. They have been used as goals for soccer, for his dinosaurs, and the list goes on. If my kids are ever going stir crazy all they need is an over sized box and... instant happiness!

Day 1: Mod Podge
I made this ugly, plain pill holder into this stylish beauty with some leftover scraps from my scrapbook paper and some mod podge!



Seriously, who wouldn't rather pop some pills from this! I am now trying to come up with some other fun ideas for my mod podge. Any suggestions?
