Aidan and Brinn wrote their letters to Santa this year and we left them for Zoodole (our elf) to hand deliver to Santa... (which he did:) )

Some of my favorite parts of Brinn's letter are:
- I want to see your other elves too
- I want a bigger pony... I want a real pony
- We will have a snow fight one day when you are ready
- Send me some pictures of you and the reindeer and the elves all together
- I want a mermaid tail that's real
- I'm not afraid of ice skating and I might fall

Gotta Love Santa letters :)

Promise me...

Promise me Brinn that when you are 15 you will LOVE helping me with the dishes as much as you do now...

Love Sunday Mornings...

On Sundays church does not start until 1:30... not the most convenient time in the middle of the day but it has ended up being a really fun morning at our house. Because I want Sunday to be a different kind of day than the rest of the week, I don't let my kids watch TV(except Veggie Tales and church movies.) Most Sundays my kids end up playing all morning and it's so fun to watch them having fun together. This particular Sunday they were playing Zoo... which included zoo hats made by them...

At the Zoo entrance (which by the way, the first time I went to the zoo I got in free, the second time... not so much)

The Tooth Fairy

The Tooth Fairy finally made her first visit to our house...




... and this boy could not be happier!

Hawaii!!!

David had vacation and we went back and forth about what we wanted to do. We wanted to go camping... but camping in Texas... no thanks. We started thinking about places where we could go and finally decided on Hawaii... This trip was so much fun! We were there for 4 days, 3 nights, and actually camped in our tent on the beach for 2 of those nights. Definitely an adventure!!!
(You will notice are pictures are missing one certain little guy... who stayed home with Grandma so that Mom could actually relax a little bit... but he was missed... A LOT!!!)

Desperate

My poor children are desperate for cold weather... So desperate in fact, that they insisted on wearing their "winter gear" despite the fact that it was 84 degrees outside when this picture was taken...

And just because he is so cute!

Grateful...

For 3 healthy, happy kiddos...
and one on the way!

And let's not forget the man who made this all possible... Definitely grateful for him ;)

Long overdue....

Long overdue on a lot of posts so I'll be playing catch-up over the next few days.

Nic and Lauren were nice enough to watch our kids one Saturday when I had a church function to be at and David was out of town. They took the kiddos to a Pumpkin Patch and thoroughly spoiled them. Thanks Nic and Lauren... can't wait to re-pay all the favors with little Corbin one day(soon!) :)


Our church does a Trunk-or-Treat every year and David and I decided to get into the spirit of things this year. David sported the "fisherman" look while I opted for a more true-to-life costume of a "mom." I was wearing a robe and actually safety pinned dolls hanging on me... If your a mom, you get it!

My Front Door...

Lauren(SIL) found a cute wreath on Pinterest and this tutorial here. Operation front door wreath was officially underway. We figured we could spice it up a little so we added some black wired ribbon and I LOVE how it turned out.

A few weeks ago Brinn and I decided she NEEDED an apron when she was HELPING me in the kitchen. So I pulled out some of the cute fabric I bought a few years ago and her and I just WHIPPED THIS THING UP. (There may or may not be a few exaggerations included above.)

It's reversible so she can wear it on either side.


Not perfect, but definitely made with love.

Mr. Fix It!!!

A few weeks ago our van wouldn't start... Ggggrrrr. After David listened to it he figured it was the starter, and also figured he could fix it himself (I was hopeful, but sceptical.) Well, I'm happy to say I was wrong. After several hours he and my brother Nic were able to fix it. Yippy! He probably saved us a few hundred dollars.

They were so proud they ASKED me to take these pictures and blog about them... right Nic??? :)

Happy to have my van up and running again! Thanks boys!

Brinn grows up

Brinn just celebrated her 4th birthday the other day. For her birthday she wanted to get her ears pierced... so I said sure. I was totally shocked that she actually went through with it. But she did AWESOME! She was totally fine until they brought out the guns... then she got a little nervous. I held her hands and they did the count down.

Let the soccer season begin

This week at our house...

This Little Guy (who is not so little anymore) started 1st Grade...



This Little Miss finally let me talk her into sleeping with curlers in her hair...


Any given night at our house...

And the results of the curlers... a little "crazy" as Brinn said, but cute!


And after it had calmed down for a couple hours TOTALLY CUTE!

And the Littlest Mr. at our house took a tumble, which totally does not surprise me. He hit his eyebrow bone on the edge of a little table. Poor little Mr. :( (This was yesterday.)


And today it looks like this... Nice shinner buddy!
