My Girl

Today Owen and I were talking about how next year Brinn will be at school all day.
Me: Brinn will be at school next year all day, and your going to miss her because she's your buddy.
Owen: She's not my buddy... she's my girl!

Happy Birthday Owen!!!

This little man turned 3 not so long ago!!! I can't even begin to tell you how much I love him. He has certainly keep us on our toes the last few years but I would not change a thing. He is spunky, and happy, and spirited. He is also incredibly bright and articulate. Owen loves all things ball and sports related! He loves to play along with Brinn and Aidan, and he LOVES... I mean really LOVES Tucker! Some of my favorite things that I hear out of his mouth are:
- I don't care... It's not your business!
- I need my privacy
- I love you momma... How was your day?
- Momma, will you snuggle with me?
- Where's monkey?

I asked him what he wanted for his birthday treat, (meaning cake, cupcakes, etc.) and all he wanted was Tic Tacs... Looks like he got what he wanted!

Spent Owen's birthday at Chuck-E-Cheese!!! Made this guy happy!
 This guy loves Chuck-E-Cheese too!

These guys too!

And let's not forget this little lady!
Happy Birthday Owen!!! We love you more than you will ever know!

Tucker...

Look at this cutie! Seriously, Tucker is such a happy, smiling, cuddly, squishy, baby!
Love this little guy of mine!

Now, if he would just stop growing and stay little forever we would be set!

Family Staycation

Back in January, David had an overnight in San Antonio. I thought it would be fun to load up the kids and take advantage of a free hotel room and enjoy a little family staycation. We picked up David at the airport and headed down town. We started off with dinner at Lulu's Bakery... which has been featured on the Food Network show Man vs. Food. Lulu's is best known for it's Texas-sized portions...
We were there too...
We ended up taking this 3 lb. cinnamon roll back to our room for breakfast the next morning.

Next we went on a walk along the river walk. It was cold and of course about 10 mins. into it someone had to go to the bathroom so we called it a night and headed back to the hotel.

And here is Aidan eating his cinnamon roll in bed the next morning. That... my friends... is what a staycation is all about!

Christmas Catch-up 2012

Christmas 2012 was a success for the Larson's!

Started off Christmas Eve with the opening of some new jammies!
David was able to be home with us this year again for Christmas!
Along with our big Christmas Eve dinner, we spent the night looking at Christmas lights from the back of Nic's truck, eating rice pudding (I happened to be the lucky almond winner this year!!!), the Annual Ice Toss (which David won!!!) and the traditional reading of The Night Before Christmas by Grandpa Jo.

Christmas morning was no disappointment either. Aidan got the Furby he had wanted and asked Santa for...

... and a new DS game (for which he found a cozy little spot to play.)

 Tucker enjoyed the bows...
... and ribbons!

Brinn got a Furby, which was on the top of her list, as well as these pink cowgirl boots! I think this girl is an official Texan!
Took me 5... literally 5 ... picture before I finally got one with her eyes open. (My little squinter!)

And Owen was a happy camper with this bike from Santa! (Truly, balance bikes are awesome! He goes so fast and LOVES it!)
He also loved his new helmet and mini trampoline if you can't tell!

No family picture this year! Shame on me!

As you can see we are blessed beyond measure!

Looking Back!

Came across this picture on my computer the other day! Oh how I love this picture!

Those chubby cheeks, wind-swept hair, and squinty little eyes that are obviously tyring to keep out the sun (but tend to be a bit squinty anyways.)

She is my little girly-girl and comrade in this house full of boys! I love watching her grow up and...
I get her! She loves what I loved when I was her age!

One of the things that I am most excited about is introducing her to all the books I loved as a young girl! She actually brought home her first reading books for homework today and is so thrilled!

And yet, I look at this picture and I'm reminded that she will never be this little again! Happiness and sadness all rolled up into one big emotion of gratitude!

Brinn's First School Concert

Brinn had her first school concert right before Christmas.

We were a little disappointed (okay, a lot) in the seating situation and the also the extremely rude people (and by people I mean adults) who talked through other classes performances when it was not their child's turn (seriously people... very eye opening and sad!)

But to see the smile on this face...
... totally worth it! Love this girl of mine!

Just For Fun...
