Alright... if you guessed Hungary you were right. We just spent 2 quick days there with David's parents. We had a great time and took lots of pictures, which you will have to wait for until we get home.
Now we are here...

David's mom was just in town for a week. We did something fun almost every day and had so much fun with her. One day we went to the Wild Animal Park. It's like going on a safari, the animals walk right up to your car and you can feed them right there... some will even eat out of your hand!
Not a great picture but this gives you an idea of how close these animals are. Brinn was nose to nose with this guy!
Aidan's first time driving... at least he has had some Mario Kart experience!
This guy came running up to our car and stuck his head in the window and would act like he was going to peck us. It was scary and funny all at the same time. I noticed a lot of cars had their windows rolled up every time this guy came over to their car, they must have had a similar experience.

Before we went to Utah we went to Chuck E Cheese to let Aidan open all of his gifts that I did not want to haul. He brought along his "friend" Arianna (who has been in Russia for the past 6 months and has forgotten English.) And yet there was no language barrier between these two as they held hand in the back of the car on the way there and Aidan professed his love, "Arianna, your my best friend. I love you." Oh dear! She is a cute little girl though and we had a fun time bringing her along.

This was how Aidan spent some of his 12+ hours in the airport on the way there... surfing!
We went to the fountains one day to let the boys run around... Aidan and "Sven" (sporting a hot-dog-on-a-stick hat no less) loved it!
This was on the way home from the fountains... all the heat even wore out David.
Jackson was in a parade so we went to cheer him on. It was both Aidan and Brinn's first parade and it was a hit!
And last but not least Aidan catching a ride with Uncle Abe on the moped!

My friend JJ, David, and I during the summer between 8th and 9th grade! (Remember that those are the "awkward years")
In 11th grade David and I went to tolo together, which is girls asks guys (hence the reason he is sitting on my lap.) This actually has quite the funny story behind it which I will save for another time.
Okay, all I can say is nice shorts...
High school graduation: Eric, David, Me, Kathleen, and Derek. Don't me and David look like we were secretly holding hands... we weren't. :)

I know you are all waiting to see how my trip home went and it went a lot better! Fhewwwww!We left the house at 5:00am trying to get on the 6:20 flight, missed that one, and ended up on the next flight which left at 10:55 (which was also a non-stop!)
Pictures from our trip will have to wait as they just left with David and the laptop for the week so I will have to put those on here when he returns... and believe me... I have A LOT of pictures!
While we were in Utah Aidan turned 4! Where has the time gone? Aidan is such a happy sweet kid... I feel so lucky to be his mom. He is polite, he listens (most the time,) he is a great big brother, eager to help, and just really a joy! So here are a few of my favorite pictures of Aidan that were taken pre-blog!
When Aidan was born he had little indents on both sides of his chin from having his fists up to his chin... his first bath and his big feet!
We called this look (above and below) his "Mr. Serious" look.

It's no surprise that the number one comment we used to get about him (and still do) is about those eyes!

But in all seriousness, this kid loved his airplanes. When he was this age he used to sit on David's lap for HOURS while David would pull up airplane videos and pictures on the computer.
This picture still hangs on my wall today. Everytime I look at it, it makes me smile!
This pretty much takes you up until the age of 2, right around when I started this blog! Happy Birthday Aidan! We sure do love you to pieces!
