Can't believe my little guy is 2... Where does the time go?

Owen is so full of life and personality. He can be so naughty, on purpose, but will then turn to me and smile with that little grin of his and my heart just melts. (He does however, spend a fare amount of time in time-out;)) He never walks anywhere... it's always a skip, hop, run, or jump. He will talk your ear off and I'm finally getting to the point where I can understand a lot of it. He loves singing, being one of the big kids (or so he thinks,) nursery at church, balls, and his monkey (which he chews on while he is falling asleep.) It is hard to put into words just how FUN and CRAZY Owen is... but spend five minutes with him and you will understand. I am truly so blessed to be his mom, or momma, as he calls me. Can't wait to see what the future holds for this little guy... I'm sure it's larger than life!

Remember this picture?

Today that pile of wood looks like this... after many many hours of hard work by my awesome hubby. (Well, lets not leave me out. I know for sure I screwed in at least 3 or 4 screws and helped sand a little ;)
It's got a lot character and I love that about it even more! So now, come for dinner. We have plenty of room for everyone.

What have I done???
Last week I decided that I could cut Brinn's hair by myself. I just wanted to trim it straight across... how hard could it be really?!? Well, if you will notice from picture below it turned out to be a little harder than I thought. Side A starts at the shoulders and side B ends right below the ear. So after some tears shed by a little girl who wanted to "look beautiful," we loaded up the car at 5:30 on a Sat. night to get a LITTLE "touch up" by a professional.
After the girl cut her hair she whispered into Brinn's ear, "Don't ever let your mommy cut your hair again." Trust me... you don't need to worry about that one.
And here is the end result... a little short but super cute. And if you can't tell by the attitude in the picture, she likes it also.

Der Santu Cos
Aidan and Brinn wrote their letters to Santa this year and we left them for Zoodole (our elf) to hand deliver to Santa... (which he did:) )
Without further adue:
(Please see Aidan's interpretation below.)
Der Santu Cos
I am Aidan. I want to be a elf. I am good this year. I want for Christmas is:
-DS -Spiderman Shooter -Ninjagoice Dragon Attack -Ninjago Blacksmith Shop
Here are a couple of things I want.(Refering to inclosed pictures) I have cookies on Christmas. Bye Santu.
Sincerely Aidan Larson
Some of my favorite parts of Brinn's letter are:
- I want to see your other elves too
- I want a bigger pony... I want a real pony
- We will have a snow fight one day when you are ready
- Send me some pictures of you and the reindeer and the elves all together
- I want a mermaid tail that's real
- I'm not afraid of ice skating and I might fall
Gotta Love Santa letters :)

Love Sunday Mornings...
On Sundays church does not start until 1:30... not the most convenient time in the middle of the day but it has ended up being a really fun morning at our house. Because I want Sunday to be a different kind of day than the rest of the week, I don't let my kids watch TV(except Veggie Tales and church movies.) Most Sundays my kids end up playing all morning and it's so fun to watch them having fun together. This particular Sunday they were playing Zoo... which included zoo hats made by them...
At the Zoo entrance (which by the way, the first time I went to the zoo I got in free, the second time... not so much)
Aidan and Brinn in the petting zoo area...
