A Great Big Brother

Aidan is such a cute big brother to Brinn. Beside constantly calling her "sweetheart" or "princess," he is just always talking to her and interacting with her. The other day when I got home this is how I found them. He likes to hold her hand in the car and fell asleep this way.

And last night when we were on our way home he was asleep and Brinn was asleep. She started to fuss a little and in his sleep he put his finger up to his mouth and said "sshhh, sshhh, ssshhh."

YEAH!!!

Okay, what could more exciting than mowing your lawn for the first time? I know, I know, some may think we are crazy to have such excitement over this dirty and rather monotonous task. However, anyone that has ever lived in an apartment for over five years understands this excitement.

It was so cute because Aidan followed David all around the yard and was "helping" him mow the lawn.

Breaking Out The Summer Clothes

It is officially getting HOT! MY air conditioner is coming on and is not set to come on until 80 degrees. Anyways, I could not resist taking a few pictures of the cutie!

Where's Waldo... I Mean Aidan

Today I put Aidan in his room for quite time (an essential part of the day since he no longer takes naps) and when I came to check on him an hour later this is what I found. Somewhere in all the mess Aidan had crashed on the floor. Yeah... he really needed a nap. However, you might notice the new underwear he is sporting on his little bum. I am officially trying to potty-train as of today and when I saw him there sleeping I thought to myself, "oh great... he is going to wake-up in a puddle." After a nice long nap I ended up waking him up so that he could go pee-pee on the potty. So far so good today. He's great about going (at least #1) when I put him on the potty but never tells me he has to go. I am hoping the Car and Diego undies spur him on. Wish us luck!

Six Flags

This year we got season's passes to six flags, and yesterday we made our first trip there. It was a hit. Aidan loved it and it was a perfect day; not too hot, a little breezy, and the place was empty. We stuck mostly to the kiddie rides since it was just our little family that went. A couple funny stories: Aidan and David were climbing into the teacups when all of a sudden Aidan hopped out and said "I ride with my friends." He then went and climbed in with this random little girl so David asked her if Aidan could ride with her. He did this a couple more times.... poor little guy needs some cousins to come and ride rides with him ;) The other funny thing was that Aidan could not figure out how to push the peddle on the bumper cars. The guy working the ride even stopped all the other cars and went over and showed him how to do it and he still just sat there. By this time Aidan was getting really frustrated so the worker on the intercom started to tell the other kids to go and bump into him so that he would move. Then when the kids got close he would say "gentle" or "not too hard." David and I got a kick out of it and the funny thing is that he wanted to go again so while the other kids were climbing in their cars David went and coached him on pushing the pedal. Well, second time around he still just sat there until he finally climbed out of his car mid-ride and David went in and grabbed him. I am sure there will be many more pictures of our adventures to Six Flags this year.

Aidan's New Bowl

My mom gave Aidan this new bowl with the built on straw and Aidan loves it. Of course all he wanted to do was drink the milk out and not eat the cereal. Figures! Anyways, thanks Grandma Jo.

Brinn's Video

Well, I am going to give this one more try.

Yeah, it worked!

A Laugh

This morning I was eating a bowl of cereal and holding Brinn. She managed to grab it and pour it down the front of both of us. I was in the process of cleaning it up when Aidan came out and asked what I was doing. I told him that Brinn had spilled my cereal and that I was cleaning it up. He then walked over to Brinn, who was laying on the floor, and told her, "That makes mommy and daddy sad. Your in a time-out." It made me realize that little ears are always listening and I then had to explain that it was an accident and that she didn't mean to do it. A couple minutes later I was finishing cleaning up the mess (totally not mad) and Aidan says, "Calm down mom." I just had to laugh.

Just For Fun...
