Fun To See...

It was so fun to see...

Jen, my cousin who is the cutest little prego girl ever. It has been way to long since I last saw her!

My childhood best friend Rachel. I feel so blessed to have friends in my life who I can not see for years and then when we are together it is like no time has passed.

Rachel and my kids together... One of those full circle moments for me, because this was the age we were when we were playing together.

Britt, my cousin. I love her. She is so fun and one of those people who really seems to put everyone else before herself.

The Zoo...

The one thing my dad wanted to do in Utah was take the kiddos to the zoo.

The Rodeo...

While in Bear Lake we went to the rodeo...

At the rodeo they had a little contest where all the kids go in the arena and chase a calf with a ribbon tied on it's tail. Whichever kid grabs the ribbon gets a prize. We asked Aidan if he wanted to do it and he said yes. I don't actually think he knew there was a cow in there till the very end but he was having a fun time following the masses. He's kind of hard to see in the video but he's towards the back of the group with the grey shirt and tan pants... the smallest kid out there. It was so funny!

Bear Lake...

We went to Bear Lake with my extended Family on my mom's side. We were missing a few family members, but we were happy we were able to spend time with everyone that was there and had a great time!

Brinn's first and last boat ride... she did not like the wind or the life jacket and cried almost the entire time.

Thank you Grandpa and Grandma for a fun week. We love you guys! And also thanks John and Glen for all the boat rides... it was awesome!

More Family and A Trip To Temple Square

We just happened to be in Utah at the same time as David's brother Jeff's family, who were visiting from Washington. It was so fun spending a day with them and Aidan had so much fun playing with his cousins.
We started the day by going to temple square:




It was so nice to be able to see all the exhibits, conference center, and to walk around the temple grounds.

I thought this was the cutest little background for a picture of Brinn, but she was so mesmerized by the flowers she wouldn't give me a smile.



After Temple Square we went back to Jeff and Heather's hotel for a swim in the pool:

It was so fun to see them for a day... My only regret is the lack of pictures I got with them but this was at the beginning of our trip and I was not quite in picture mode yet.

Birthday... Part 2

THE PARTY

Instead of throwing a big party, we decided to go with my family to Six Flags and we took one of Aidan's best buddies, Logan with us. We hit up a couple of the favorite rides and then went to the water park for a couple of hours. We had a fun time and Aidan was happy to have a friend there.


Next we busted out the party hats (Aidan loves party hats!), and everyone wore them at Red Robin for dinner.



One tired birthday boy!


THE BIRTHDAY!... Thanks for all the fun gifts everyone!

THE BIKE... Batman, as also requested by Aidan (Which cracks me up because he has never seen any shows that have to do with these action figures... I guess boys will be boys.)


And at the end of the day I asked Aidan what his favorite gift was and he said,
"My pack of gum."

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AIDAN!

A sweet little boy since the day he was born!


It's no surprise that the number one comment Aidan has gotten since he was born has to do with those big blue eyes!

I couldn't help but sneak in a picture of Aidan and Uncle Nic who is on his mission in Georgia. We can't wait for him to come home in Oct. It's so cute because sometimes I will ask him, "Who loves you?" expecting him to say me or David, but he almost always says "Uncle Nic" followed by "Uncle Thomas."

Happy Birthday Buddy! We sure do love you to pieces!

Oh Aidan!

Aidan turns three in a couple days and I started to reflect on some of the things I won’t miss about the TerribleTwos. These are all things that have happened in the last couple days:

- Aidan wants to take a bubble bath and I tell him “after daddy leaves.” A few minutes later out of nowhere this is the conversation:
“Dad.”
“Yeah Buddy.”
“Leave.”

- After a day of Aidan trying my patience, I tell him:
“Your making mommy sad because your not listening.” (Okay… nobody can MAKE another person feel a certain way, but you get the idea.)
“I’ll make you happy mom… in a couple minutes.”

-Normally Aidan says the prayer all by himself but this particular day he wanted me to help him so I would say something and he would repeat it.
Me- “Please bless the food that it will make us strong and healthy.”
Aidan- Looks up, “I don’t want to bless the food.” (With the biggest attitude you can imagine.

What I will miss about him being little:

- I said to Aidan “Come here honey.”
“I’m not the honey (I’m thinking here we go with the attitude) I’m the jam. And you’re the bread.”
We always talk about family sandwiches and what everyone is.

- “Thanks for dinner mom. It was wonderful.”

- “Mom, I WANT to cuddle with you.”
