Friends!

Our friends JJ and Cory (as well as her brother Ryan and his girlfriend Amanda) came to visit us from the Philippines. Actually, we like to think they came just to visit us... but her brother lives in Houston so the can kill two birds with one stone, so-to-speak. They were only in town for one short day but we managed to have so much fun! We spent the afternoon here...

Supposedly, Schlitterbahn is the largest water park in North America and we had so much fun! We left the kids with my mom (thanks mom) so we could hit all the big slides! We had a blast and would definitely go back again! We made a stop at where else but Chuy's (where I work) for a late dinner and the food was awesome as always!

The next morning we spent a few hours at the Alamo, which I have always seen from the outside but never been inside until now. I spent most of my time chasing around kids so couldn't really appreciate all the history that went on there... however the grounds are beautiful!

WICKED WAS SOOOOO WICKED!!!

So I went to Wicked this past week and it has taken me a few days to pick myself up off the floor... SO AMAZING! I mean, I can't really even put into words how great it was... I would never do it justice.

We were so excited about going that at dinner before the show we laid out the tickets on the table and discussed who was going to sit where.

If Wicked comes to your town, or your ever in NY or LA... so worth the money! Who knows... I just might go again before they leave San Antonio :)

Summer Fun!

Painting the wall with water.... what could be more fun? Actually, it's so hot here the water dries almost right after it hit the wall.

Look who can write an A!

We have been working on letters and Aidan is so excited that he can finally write the letter A... look at that smile!

The Zoo!!!

On my birthday we decided to take the kids to the zoo since this was a rare occasion that we get to spend a whole day together. We ended up buying a year pass and I can't wait to go back! Our zoo was actually rated one of the top 10 best zoo's for children by Parents magazine. We really had a great time!

Brinn actually wore these around almost all day so I have decided I need to get her some girly ones.

That night David and I left the kids at my parents and enjoyed a nice night out together... just the two of us! I had a really great birthday and could not feel any more blessed!

Frosting!

For my birthday David and Aidan made me cupcakes and frosting from scratch. And they were yummy(this is pre-no-sugar-diet, we are back tracking here!) What a lucky gal I am!

And as a side note: The diet is going well... besides pancakes with syrup that I had once with my kids and a few sips of some of David's horchata! Not bad! I think when this is over I am going to keep it going during the week and then weekends are free... we will see!

A few things...

Idol was great! No spoilers here but the whole show in itself was so entertaining! And the ending... :)

The Bachelorette just started... you all know I am a fan but will spare you the play-by-plays this season. I am just going to put this out there that I like the pilot (surprise, surprise... but really he seems like a genuinely nice guy) and shoot there is one more guy I can't remember... I will figure it out and let you know.

My first day of my no-sugar diet went well... had a few temptations and a close call. I made a little chocolate milk for myself at work not even thinking about it and was about 1 inch away from sticking the straw in my mouth when I remembered. I tried to give it away to someone but no one wanted it so alas... I had to toss it (that was hard.) 1 day down... a lot more to go!

And as I type this Brinn has stripped her diaper and is running around naked... DANGEROUS! Better go! Bye! :)
