We Are Back... And A BIRTHDAY!

I know you are all waiting to see how my trip home went and it went a lot better! Fhewwwww!We left the house at 5:00am trying to get on the 6:20 flight, missed that one, and ended up on the next flight which left at 10:55 (which was also a non-stop!)

Pictures from our trip will have to wait as they just left with David and the laptop for the week so I will have to put those on here when he returns... and believe me... I have A LOT of pictures!


While we were in Utah Aidan turned 4! Where has the time gone? Aidan is such a happy sweet kid... I feel so lucky to be his mom. He is polite, he listens (most the time,) he is a great big brother, eager to help, and just really a joy! So here are a few of my favorite pictures of Aidan that were taken pre-blog!


When Aidan was born he had little indents on both sides of his chin from having his fists up to his chin... his first bath and his big feet!


We called this look (above and below) his "Mr. Serious" look.

It's no surprise that the number one comment we used to get about him (and still do) is about those eyes!

His love of airplanes started(was forced on him) early...

But in all seriousness, this kid loved his airplanes. When he was this age he used to sit on David's lap for HOURS while David would pull up airplane videos and pictures on the computer.

This picture still hangs on my wall today. Everytime I look at it, it makes me smile!


This pretty much takes you up until the age of 2, right around when I started this blog! Happy Birthday Aidan! We sure do love you to pieces!

I HATE STAND-BY

Well, after 12 hours in the airport, missing 5 flights, walking 2+ miles from gate to gate (some of the time with a 4 year old in my arms,) many tears from a sad little boy who did not understand why the plane was leaving without him, ice cream to mend the tears of the sad little boy, and a total of 16.5 hours traveling we made it to Utah. Please remind me next summer when I am contemplating this again why I should just stay home... I AM ALREADY DREADING THE FLIGHT HOME (WHICH WILL BE ALONE WITHOUT DAVID!) KEEP ME IN YOUR PRAYERS :)

But till then we will be basking in the sun at Lake Powell. Now that's something to be jealous of! :)

Our Rebellious Night At The Circus!

We went to the circus last week and had so much fun!
Of course the only good shot I got of the two of them also included the rear-end of the elephant!

And here is where our rebelliousness begins.... we were in the $10 seats about 60 rows up and had the worst seats. After the show started there were a ton of open seats up close so we cheated and moved up to the 5 row!

And to top it off I snuck in cookies... and it was worth it!

Aidan insisted on wearing a tie to church... this was his only option. Do you think I let him go like this?

The other day Aidan was in his room for a LONG time... and came out like this...


Every pair of unders that this kid owns he had on his body! I think we counted 22 in all!

So happy that Ed is back. My top two are Ed and Kipton and I pray that Wes is the next to go. Can we say LOSER!
