Easter!!!

This year we had a fun Easter. Aidan is finally old enough to "get it" and it is so fun to see him getting excited. Probably the most exciting thing of all was having David home for Easter, a rare treat!

Grandma Larson

David's mom was able to come and visit for a few days right before I had my surgery. It was so fun to see her and Aidan had a fun time too. Aidan loves to bake so he was in 7th Heaven when they made chocolate M&M cookies. I would say about 10% of the M&M's make it on the cookies and 90% make it in Aidan's mouth.

Brinn

Brinn is now 6 months old... where does the time go? She has the cutest little smile and is a mommas girl, which is fun and not so fun at the same time. I have been trying to give her rice cereal and fruit and she refuses to eat either. I am afraid she will still be solely nursing when she's four. I have been reading and everyone says don't force it, and that eventually she will start eating other foods, but any advice would be great.

She loves her binky but when she can't find it, her fingers will always do. It's so funny though because she sucks her fingers backwards with her palm out.

Our Recent Trip...

Our most recent trip was to the hospital. Not for one of my little munchkins (thank heavens), and not for my hubby (he's had his share), which leaves me :) Sunday night after dinner I go this pain in my upper abdomen and had a hard time breathing. I had just left my parents house and so I turned back around. After about 1.5 hours it went away enough that I felt I could drive home. When I got home all the pain came back but when I went to sleep and woke in the morning I felt much better. I ate a cookie... I know I know, but about 10 mins. later I started feeling the same pain. It felt like I was doing a constant crunch and that my muscles were constantly flexing and would not relax. After about 9 hours the pain finally went away so I decided to try some applesauce and again my stomach started wrenching in pain. I went and got David at the airport at midnight and then we went straight to the ER. Well, after some tests it was determined that I had gallstones, and that it was making my liver and pancreas inflamed. By 6:45 am I was in surgery to have my gallbladder removed. That was yesterday and I just came home from the hospital today. I am in quite a lot of pain but have some good drugs :) The only thing about this was that Brinn would not take a bottle, formula or my milk, so she went for a chunk of time without anything. The lactation nurse came in and looked at my list of medications and said she would be okay nursing. So Brinn became my new roommate at the hospital so she could eat. Anyways, it has been a crazy couple of days but I will post something new when I am back into the swing of life.

I've Been Tagged

I actually was tagged by both my sister Mandi and my friend Kathleen with past weekend... thanks Ladies! So here it goes.

10 years ago... I was counting down to senior year. I probably was liking David at the time, as I did off and on through high school. Oh yeah, I was getting ready to play Sandy in Grease. This question actually made me wonder what I really was doing to I looked it up in my journal... SO I guess I was so busy having fun I kind of skipped a good chunk of time around then. I did manage to dedicate some pages to pictures of friends and other things. Here is what was in it: picture of a temple (caption: where I want to get married), fortune cookie quotes, poems I like, "best friends 4-ever " page with pictures of Kathleen, JJ, and Rachel (Hi to all 3 of you) "best cousins" page with pics of Britt and Jen J., "family page", "my guy dudes" page with pics of David :), Robb, Derek, Mark and Eric, "great grandpa Heber" obituary and a pic of me and him. Well, hope I have not bored you.

5 places I've lived... 1. Utah 2. Colorado 3. Washington 4. Idaho 5. Maryland (Why stop at 5) 6. Alaska 7. Arizona 8. Texas

5 things on my to do list today... Well, since I am headed to bed when I am done with this, my list for tomorrow is 1. Get myself and kids ready 2. Laundry 3. Pick up David at Airport 4. Exchange swimsuit I bought for Brinn for a different size 5. Think of something fun and new to make for dinner (any ideas?)

5 jobs I've had... 1. Paper route (HATED IT!!!) 2. Customer service at Post Net 3. Copy girl in the Library at College 4. Internet website design company- inbound calls... (I never figured out what the heck I was doing with this job, technology and me do not go together.) 5. Waitress at Red Robin (Why stop at 5) 6. Day care teacher at a daycare for kids at risk of abuse and neglect (my most rewarding job ever, besides being a mom) 7. Assistant Director at a daycare 8. Most importantly MOM

10 years from now... I hope to have a couple more kids and be done having them. We will be living in the place where we plan to settle down and David will be with the company he plans to stay with for the rest of his career. We will have gone to a few cool places like Ecuador (where David served his mission) and the Philippines (to visit our friends JJ and Cory). Basically we will be doing what were doing now... just living and loving life and staying busy!

So now I tag JJ, Rachel, Natalie, Bre, and Heather. Enjoy!

She Can Sit

I can't believe how big Brinn is getting. I know almost every blog I post I say that but I am constantly surprised at the new things she is doing. When Aidan was little, I would just watch and wait for every new milestone. With Brinn, I guess I am just so busy taking care of the two of them that is seems like those milestones just sneak up on me. Anyways, Brinn can now sit up with a little help from the boppy, and manages to keep her falling over to a minimum.

I've Created A Monster

Yesterday we were at the store and they have a little arcade section where you can play games or ride the little rides. Aidan wanted to play with the race car but I did not have any money and felt bad. On an impulse I asked him if he wanted to go home and play daddy's game on x-box. He said yes and when we came home I put on a racing game. Well, he asks to play it all the time and he has yet to complete even one lap on it. I taught him that green means go and blue means go back, so he spends all his time running into a wall, reversing into another wall, and then going forward into the same wall. It's actually pretty funny to watch him try to play, but I am hoping this is not the beginning of the end.
