I know you have seen Brinn in this leotard a "few" times already, as it is currently her outfit of choice. Here is a picture of me wearing the exact same thing 25ish years ago...
I know, it's hard to see me in the background but I thought it was worth a try! Maybe one day one of her daughters will wear it.
Is it wrong that I thought this was so cute??? This is Brinn last week when she was sick... and for the first time I had to pull her hair up to keep it out of her way while she was doing her "business."
Poor little thing!
This next week is my birthday (19th)... and this year again I am going to do one month of no sugar starting on the 20th (Thurs.) Just thought I would put it out there to see if anyone wants to join me. I did lose weight last year, and even got pregnant during that time (which I realize might encourage or discourage some of you from joining in :))
It just got me out of the habit of
* Needing that sugar fix at the end of the night
* If one cookie is good, surly 10 is better!
Any one up for the challenge???
How was your Mother's Day? Mine was wonderful! David was out of town most of the day but he made sure to have Aidan take care of me... and he did!
My day started off with this...
Most moms get a nice mothers day card. I got a "No Mom's Allowed " sign that hung on Aidan's door. I heard Aidan and Brinn out in the kitchen while I was still in bed and I asked them what they were doing. "Coloring." The thought ran through my mind, "Maybe they are making me mother's day cards?" Later Aidan came in my room and told me he needed tape. "What do you need tape for." "To hang this on my door." "What is it?" "It's a no moms allowed sign... see I drew you, then I drew a circle, then I crossed you out." I got a good laugh!
Aidan really wanted to make me breakfast and was very concerned that Dad would not be here to help him. I told him I would help him but again he was very concerned that it would not be a surprise. I finally talked him into making me toast (with my help.) Needless to say, it was the best cinnamon-sugar toast I have ever had!
And my three little ones all ready for church!
Not a day goes by that I don't realize how lucky I am to be a mother and to be blessed with these beautiful children. There really is no harder job, but there is also no other job more rewarding than this and I wouldn't trade a second of it!
... What I want for Christmas, but I need your help!
I have decided I want to publish my blog (for myself) and know there are several sites out there where you can do this. Have any of you ever used any of these sites you would recommend? I have 355 posts so it's going to take probably my next few Christmas/ Birthdays to get this done.
Just thought I would pose this question to my fellow blogging buddies! Please help!

Everyone is always asking me how Pretzel is with Owen...
... this pretty much sums it up!
Since Friday we have had:
- Two migraines by Aidan, one of which involved throwing up EVERY WHERE! (I know... I gave him my lovely genes... poor kid)
- A weekend visit to insta-care with Aidan for possible strep. $40 and 2.5 hours later end result= virus. NICE!
- Brinn had some little virus also that involved throwing up two times.
Not two mention that we have ALL had two rounds of colds in the last month.
Looking forward to a healthy summer!
I think I need to go knock on some wood.

Follow-up to post: Literally less than 12 hours after I wrote this post, this morning as I was driving David to the airport Brinn threw-up in her car seat... seriously, WHAT IS THE DEAL??? I think next time I will try prayer instead of knocking on wood.
Yesterday was Owen's Blessing at church. He looked so handsome in his little blessing outfit and was a happy kid (as always.)
