Aidan is 5!!!

We have had some birthdays! Okay, well Aidan's was back in July but it was a birthday non-the-less and deserves it 15 seconds of fame on the blog.

Made Aidan breakfast in bed and let him watch cartoons in my room. Even went out of my way to make him blueberry pancakes. Turns out he does not like blueberry pancakes... oh well.

Aidan got a new bike...

Went to Chuy's to celebrate with our good friends the Biorn's....

And a few days later had a party with all his friends... which included the pinata he has been asking for for over a year!

All in all, I would say the birthday was a success!

Happy Birthday Buddy! We love you more than you will ever know!

Update on the Princess!

Brinn has hit some of her own big milestones in the past month or so.

Remember awhile back when I posted about how she always sleeps in the hall on the floor?
Well, she's finally graduated to her bed after 9 months.

She's CRAZY!!!

She knocked her top teeth into her bottom lip... luckily it healed up quite nicely on it's own.

And for the biggest news of all... Brinn is a potty girl! She seriously pretty much potty trained herself in one day. Now, I count this as a blessing seeing that I am STILL dealing with Aidan and his potty issues. HALLELUJAH!!!

Owen Boy is 6 months old!

I can't believe how the time has flown by. I don't recall giving you permission to start getting all big on me! You are seriously the happiest baby I have ever met and have been an absolute joy from day one! Aidan and Brinn adore you and in return you make them feel like the best big brother and sister in the world with you endless smiles.

A few milestones you have reached:
You had your first taste of rice cereal the other day and the verdict is: it's a winner.
You have found your voice and your laugh is growing.
You love your toes.
You roll all over the place and I know it won't be long before you are all over the house and into EVERYTHING!
You have the saddest cry I have ever heard and the skilled Larson pout.
You sit up on your own but somehow end up folded in half like a book.

You are such a gift and everyday I feel like the luckiest mom in the world. I am so excited to see what life has in store for you... but for now I am enjoying rocking you to sleep, cuddling with you, and being the center of your universe!

Kindergarten ROCKS!

Today was Aidan's first day of school and he loved it... as I knew he would! To start off the morning we had to do the traditional picture taking before we headed to the school.

Brinn wanted to get in on the action... Little does she know how much she is about to miss her favorite buddy. Here kindergarten is all day so I am pretty sure Brinn is about to go through some major Aidan withdrawals.

Aidan with his friend Brooklyn from church. They are not only in the same class but sit right next to each other. I hope their hand holding does not get in the way of their learning. :)

Aidan all ready for school!

After Aidan come home from school I tried to get him to tell me about his day, which he did.
A: I brought home some things from my lunch.
Me: You did? What did you bring home?
A: Well, I ate my pudding and I brought home my sandwich and crackers.
Of course you did. :) So tonight we had the talk about how you have to eat your sandwich first then everything else.

I am so excited for him and the year he has ahead of him. Did you know Kindergarten ROCKS!?!

It's Been Too Long!

You would think with as long as it's been since my last post I might have been gallivanting across the country or the world for that matter... nope! Just been home enjoying the summer days with my kids and getting ready to send my baby to Kindergarten! Where has the time gone? As the start of school gets closer, I find myself questioning what have I not taught him that he still needs to know. How to take care of bathroom things- Still working on it! How to open his pudding and applesauce tops- Not Sure! Aaahhh! What am I missing? What am I missing???

And oh, how I would love to be a fly on the wall his first day of school! To watch the amazement and excitement he will have that first day... priceless! I mean, I seriously want a video of him in class! How fun would that be!!!

Anyone have any fun traditions they have with their kids on their first day of school??? I mean, besides the obvious picture with the backpack on???


So anyways, I promise to update with pictures soon! Owen is getting so big, Brinn has hit some big milestones :), and Aidan celebrated his 5th Birthday! So, LOTS OF PICTURES!!!

Aidanism...

Today Aidan was talking about what he wanted to be for Halloween. I know he's a few months early but I can't blame the kid. I have already spent a little time myself planning out who could be what. So Aidan decided that he was going to be Buzz (as in Buzz Lightyear,) Brinn was Jessie, Owen was little Bulls Eye, and Dad was Woody.
"What about me? What am I going to be?"
"Your going to be.... Mr. Potato Head."
"Mr Potato Head?"
"Well, the girl Mr. Potato Head."

Well, shoot. I was going for something more like... should we say.... BARBIE!!!!
